I'm looking for the exhaust pipe / catalytic converter for my 1990 525i sedan with an M20 motor. The reason I'm posting here, is because I can't buy it from a junkyard in CA, and so far, all the cars that I see being parted out are later models (mid-91 & on w/M50 motor). Does anyone know of anywhere I can get one for a reasonable price? Anyone parting one of these out?
Dealer is $1300, new "special price" from most shops is $700, and new generic from Napa Auto is a little over $400. Considering the overall value of the car (not much!), I'd like to avoid spending more than it's worth.
