Fog Light Size Problem

Hi,

I just received a pair of bmw fog lights. bought on ebay. but sizes of new ones don't fit the old fog lights. I can't install the new ones as they are a little bigger than my old fog lights. I'm pissed off.

hella brand. part numbers are
1 379 105
1 379 106
with the BMW sign next the the number. (is that a correct part number? )

I can't find any parts with the numbers on http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do

Does that mean it is a fake one? (newbie here)

old ones have part number
1 384 231
1 384 232

*confused* because realoem can't find those parts either.

has anyone had that problem before? different bumper config?

sizes aren't the same

E39 is written on this one. but the other new fog light has e35 written on it.

indeed, the serial number nearly match. (minus 2)
we have
6317 1 379 103 and 6317 1 379 104

as for my original fog lights the question is why do I have to do 1 384 231 + 2 = 1 384 233 to find my part on real oem

that are the rates from Germany, should be same for you from Belgium.

ok I will check the size and weight of the package tomorrow. late here.
so 70 euros for the lights (a quarter of the oem price) + shipping. I will check what I can find. DHL looks ok.
which probably will be 40 euros for cheap shipping. Japan's far away.
seller just told me he would send me the missing black cap. He hasn't answered on the size issue though. He sold me those as E34 lights! it is really annoying.
unless someone buys, I will try to return them to my seller.

Nice price for new ones, but 70 is too much, I have in addition to pay for shipping of maybe 40 EURO to Japan, I still have a pair on my parts car. Thanks anyway.
