Last Friday, I lost one of the trans cooling lines on the way home. The replacement parts arrived from Patrick @ BMA this morning. I'm going to install the new lines this evening, but wondered if there are any special tools I need to drain and refill the transmission. For some reason, a 17 mm allen wrench is coming to mind, but I don't know why.

Yes. You'll need the 17mm allen head socket to remove and install and torque the fill plug to 74lb. The drain plug only requires around 12 or 14 lb torque.

I love the design feature inside the box - a nice plate to stop you putting the tube inside to fill it:( I found cutting the end like a quill pen helped. And before you ask, no I didnt use them at school: we had fountain pens!:D

I'd picked up a pump and just shifted it to the side. Cutting it might have made it easier. The old fluid looked like motor oil. After three fills and drains it started looking like trans fluid again.
