I recently replaced the shocks in my son's e34 535i with Bilstein T/C shocks. They are the greatest shock that I have ever ridden on (for a street car). They are a bit stiff over small bumps or ruff roads, but when you hit a speed hump typical in my neighborhood, the car floats over it and lands on the other side with perfect form.

Over some roads, the car rides better than my wife's '98 740i. It also handles GREAT up and down Monte Sano Mountain. I just wish they made the same shock for my Honda Element.

Yep, I said Honda. Along with the above cars, my daughter drives a '95 325i. I take great pleasure in parking my Element at the local dealer to (constantly) buy BMW parts. I digress.

Good day,
Chris

Chris,

Are the T/C's a newer model? I put the Bilstein HDs in my 530im a few years back, and it was like night and day. Really a great upgrade from the OE shock for about the same money.

Glad you're enjoying them !

Did you see my thread about the KYB shocks?

yep, thats why I posted about the Bilstiens. I had some KYB's on an e12 - 528i a few years ago. They were a little to harsh for my liking, but the price was right.

I'm not sure if they are a new model or not. I had blstein sports on my last e34. They (with bav auto springs) were hard a a rock and easily bottomed out.

I've never heard of the T/C's. Are they different from the Bilstein Sport?

I found KYBs to be too soft on my e28 and Lexus LS400...

the T/C stands for touring comfort. I think
