Hi guys 2 questions for the day :)

1st.
Can I swap the manual slider aircon(pic1) controller with the auto horizontal dial one(pic2), is it at all possible? I have the "option code 530 air conditioning"

2nd.
Can someone give me a hint about how to disengage the wires that are attached to the licenceplate lights, they´re giving me hell and I cant get the wires off.. http://langkawi.dk/smileys/mur.gif I even have 2 new used ones with cut wires and for the love of god, the dang wires just won´t come off.. http://langkawi.dk/smileys/r28.gif

1: no, and the manual one is better and more reliable.

2: why are you changing the Lp lights? errors are almost always harness... not the lights themselves... I took mine out... but that was july 06 on the second day I owned it. probably used a pick tool to get them to release???

definitely not, as the AUTO has a complete different heating and cooling system with stepper motors etc.
the other one is MANUAL.

Repair your aircon

That auto controller will be useful to someone with an E32

Used a lot of brute force and got the lic lights disconnected, belows why :)

The P.O. had used the wrong 12V 10W bulbs in them, so they are melted and somewhat corroded..
