Hi, my deflector pulley is making a racket.
Not the tensioner pulley, but the deflector, which is on the alternator mounting...

Ordered a new one from BMA.

Thing is the shaft of the pulley is off center, on a type of eccentric that rotates....

Question - how do I know how to orient the pulley on the shaft, since the thing is on a sort of eccentric or cam?

I'd think ti doesn't matter since there's the tensioner... but they have to have it made this way for a reason.... and I don't want to over or uderstress my new pulley by not lineing it up correctly....

Ideas or advice? Thanks much! Cheers, ROb sends....

i think that the deflector has a little nub interna or external to it that keeps it in the desired position. you don't have to worry about keeping it aligned, as it does that itself.
