Hey all. I usually just lurk until my car gets run into, then I post pics of the carnage. Last time it was my '95 525... totalled a few years back.

This time it is my '00 540/6... it got NAILED in a parking lot by an eclipse that hopped the curb while parking. She hit the gas instead of the brake while pulling into her spot. Since she was up above my bumper on the curb, there was nothing but my hood to stop her. The good news is I don't think they're gonna total it.

The bad news is that this happened while I was on a business trip, so my car has to be repaired locally to the wreck. I tried to get the insurance company to tow the car back to Little Rock where I live, but instead it's in Monroe, Louisiana, about 150 miles away. I insisted that they bring the car to a BMW certified body shop. It's not on their "preferred" list, but they will use OE parts. If I have to fight to get the bill paid, I will. I am now driving a 1 cylinder chevrolet cobalt with no cruise control. I miss my bimmer.

Be glad she came from above, if not could have totalled it from frame damage.
