M-Pars OE... 18 staggered, Michelin Pilot SX with about one summer season left MAYBE. Generally good condition. FIVE wheels and tires. One is spare so brand new wheel and tire, no center cap on that one. Center BORED out to fit e39. 255/?/18, 235/?/18 $1600.

M-Pars Rep... 18 staggered, General UHPs brand new. Basically, new set of reps with tires, all caps. FOUR wheels and tires. 275/?/18, 245/?/18. $1500.

Canadian dollars. The deciding factor is new decent meats would cost at least $600... I'm not certain the OE meats will last the whole summer.

i'd take the OEM wheels. if they're good on the balance machine, then i see no problem.

So... $2200 for OEs?

reps can suck, not entirely wild about the bored rims but if they didn't **** them up.... you get to deal with rings

Always buy the real thing... who knows where those reps were made.

That tough a choice eh? The OEs even have the original BMW weights on them...

No choice Qube.
The bored rims are risky at best, plus you get worn out rubber and the cost/risk to dismount it.
The General tires are also trash but a hondo less and with ostensibly unmolested rims. Do burnouts with the General rubber until you are tired of it then apply the hundred dollar savings to decent tires.
OOPS, didn't see the ones with General tires are rebops, figures. Pass on both.

wheels come and go all the time. I would not pay more than $1000 for real m-pars that were used.

that's what i'd do. sure thing you gotta test them on the balance-thingy first, but if they're bored out properly (which is not a difficult task), then i see no problem.
