[94-530I 5 Speed]

I have an 1994 530 with 177k and have a issue that just started. I had the car parked in garage for winter and just started driving again last week. I start in morning and let warm up for 5 minutes get in and the check engine light is on. As soon as I hit the highway and hit 5th gear it goes out and stays off until next morning?

Have you tried the stomp test with the accelerator padal to see if you can retrieve a trouble code?

Thank you,How old is the oil? How old is the coolant? Is the O2 sensor ok? What other warning lights came on ( =mine has no CEL but my e28 shows the CEL and the appropriate warning ligtht too, usually)
