Anyone try em? I'm tempted.

They're pretty but don't expect any power returns.

why no power returns?

This has been discussed throughout many many threads. Anytime anyone speaks anything about exhausts or headers the good ol' "power gain" argument comes up.

BMW designed their exhausts/intakes with enough efficiency that changing them would only rob you of power.

I'm sure someone will think differently and oppose me, but they will be opposed by others and the process will never end.

Go for the headers, they'll look sweet in a clean engine bay.

I might give them a try, if anything for the look. I bet they flow better, but that doesn't mean more power, or possibly only more power at 7000 rpm or something. I wish they would make a set with a smaller primary, which might actually be better than the manifolds.

If I buy I'll post the results here.

OK, so the ad says e34 91-92 only? Was there a change in manifolds or something?

a 1993 will have variable valve timing, whereas 1991 and 1992 don't.

Fancy doing up the centre manifold nuts with the head on the car??!!

Yeah, but why would that matter? The same header fits a 325 with Vanos.

It looks doable. It actually looks easier than some other headers I've done. 01 f-250 with V10. Now that's a nightmare.

I emailed racing dynamics, and they it won't fit, but can't tell me why. Anyone familiar with both the 92 and 93 525 engine compartments?
