"trans program"some help please

.hello people.
i got a 94 530i(ugh).i know what your saying.but it was cheap(was).
im in limp mode.i tried ;;
switching rear wheel sensors,nuetral safty switch(one on console),and the one next to it,trans computer,hell,even did the trans.
can anybody give me a list of things i need to check.this is my first bimmer,and i love it,im just not sure why?
i bought the car used.trans program was comeing up immedatly upon turning key on.i didnt know what trans program meant.i do now!
i got a differant trans,and parts off a donar car.car was taken apart all over,no trans program on dash.which makes me think mine is something silly,but what.reay,ground,sensor?
the trans,comp,switch,are good,i think.his car didnt say trans program.

any help would be great
