alright so as the title says i'm looking to replace the rm, gm, fuses and relay pins on my 90 525ia
i'm looking to see if any of you have attempted this, and was wondering where did/would you go to get the terminal connections that go in the rear fusebox, and about how long would it take

thanks!!

I'm sure there was a shogun post about this somewhere... have you had a quick search of the archives?

They are made by AMP-Tyco. But the ones from BMW are pretty cheap and I would buy them there instead of that hussle.
See realoem.com under plugs, they are all there.

BTW: you need also an pinout tool. My versions

you cannot hotlink to realoem.com, pics are not shown, so just link to the realoem.com page which you want to show

Or you can hotlink a drawing from this ETK

Of course you can also change the pins, just buy them, there are pins with some cable on it already from BMW, check the realoem for that. Easy to resolder.
Or buy solder sleeve. They come in butt splice and terminal options. No crimping needed
how to install ( be patient takes some time till the vido comes)

where to buy, more info

BUT, to get the pins out of a socket/plug, you need a pinout tool, as these pins have hooks which hold them in place. So make one as I showed above.

yeah i had picked up a couple from the local dealer, but they charged me 5$ each, so i'm trying to figure out if there is another source for pins aside from bmw
i'm looking to change all of them, and i don't feel to spend 500$ on pins
thanks

and yeah for the pinout tool, i have easy access to one, currently taking a mechanics cousre, lol

thanks again!

That's what you get for re-wiring a car from top to bottom. NASTY!

Just found an old pic from my parts car where you can see an empty fuse box

there you can see how these sockets are clipped in.
