So dunno if anyone noticed, but the weather was not conducive to drag racing last Fri. So the Sentra peeps have rescheduled for the 4th of June.

There’s the Milwaukee SCCA AutoX this sunday morning up at Miller Park.

The boat is going up and out the river to Montrose harbor this saturday. Weather will hopefully cooperate.
Somethin like this?

Planning on using it much more this season, maybe get you guys out on it.

Paul, does that mean that you're going to the Milwaukee SCCA AutoX this Sunday morning up at Miller Park?

I'll have my relatives from Germany in town and they might get a kick out of that.

Paul, does that mean that you're going to Milwaukee? Not sure if it’s raining, but it is a railORshine event. Then i also have to avoid my habit of trying to do some last minute mod the night before. Resulting in like 3-4 hours of sleep. Not good for remembering the course.

What up Paul. We haven't talked in a while, but I'm around. Gonna put up a website for the picnic soon. I'll give you a call this weekend to catch up.

(followed by a quik tempo high hat cymbal)

So uh, even though the weather was ok this morning (i think?). Last night’s festivities were a little much, didn’t make it to Milwaukee AutoX. Oops.
Um, Ed, Scott....did it rain out by you?

OTOH, yesterday afternoon the boat made it to Montrose harbor.
As this may be our last season, the crew of ‘Ripple’ is anxious to get the most out of it. As soon as she's finished being put back together and there's a shakedown sail or two, it’s party time.
Y’all are invited.
Do some of this.

McPier is continuing the traditional Wed&Sat firewerks. Gonna try to maintain a weekly Wed evening sail schedule.
The air and water show is always a blast, even when we don’t make it (gonna haveta tell that story someday).

House is comming along, no new pics yet but i suppose i should post some. Youse guyse should slide on by one evening.

We definately need to do a happy hour within the next couple o weeks.
C'mon guys lets get something rolling.
Certainly continue the dialog here.
Post up people.

Paul,

Good to hear from you. Sorry i have not called you back. I was driving in traffic when you called and forgot to call. Some time on the boat sounds like fun. Even a night for a brew sounds fun...easier to do with the chance of rain every day over here. Well, just hope there isn't a chance of rain for the August 7th meet.

here in CHitown. I've e mailed Scott a few times and he's got me on the list for the next e34 meet. I'm in Lincoln Park and have an understanding wife who lets me out more often than I probably deserve :D

I too did not get a chance to return your call Paul. Weekend turned out to be busy. Went to Jill's parents house all day on Saturday, then Sunday turned in to a "get done what you can while it's still nice outside" day of housework and chores, and a few other events that are better shared over a beer vs. the message board. Look for a webpage with information on the summer picnic coming soon (within 2 weeks). I'll call you one evening early this week if that is ok.

Nice photos on da boat man....Lake Michigan and the city lakefront is all we have here in Chicago.....you make it look good in those pics :)

Hey, since NE Illinois is flat as a pancake, we simply had to build our own mountains, no? The city does take on an extra little somethin from the water.

How bout we get together for the Indy 500?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s all left turns and no BMW. But still it’s an excuse and different from a happy hour.
If we do it mostly just da boiz i would gladly host. (Found out i’m werkin overtime Sat not Sun next weekend).

Werkin monday as well. :(

Hey Paul, that place looks familiar! Looks like a nice day for a cruise… ;) I too make my way to Air & Water Show and the Fire Works Show near Navy Pier. Maybe I'll see you on the lake... :D By the way, nice looking boat.

We went down to Hammond to the gamblin boat, made it in under an hour just on the main. That’s the under way pic with the crib in the background above. Stiff wind from the north. The weather got rougher on the way back and we couldn’t get the sails up. DOH! After bout 3 hours we only made it as far as Jackson harbor for the night. :(
But that thing was like a cork in the heavy seas, very secure.

Yeah see that spot twice every year, good old wolf point. You should see it on a heavy sailboat bridge run, talk about traffic.
We took the mast down to do some electrical werk this off season. We were able to just squirt out on our own schedule this time.

Paul, looks like many chores of owning a boat... Lots of TLC needed but I’m sure it’s worth all the time and effort you put into it. ;) Chicago weather has definitely improved in last few days from three weeks of “April showers”. Anyway, it’s looking nice.

Few of my friends and I might go up to Great Lakes Dragaway sometime this week. They want to race the quarter to see what they get on the clock. We did some work on a friend’s Porsche S4 this weekend and he thinks it will do high 12s to low 13s. We’ll see... :p
