Hello Bimmer.info board members,

This year's e34 meet will be on Saturday, June 14th. It will take place at a new venue just north of Chicago. The area offers long scenic 2 lane drives without stoplights. Save the date and I will post an update in the next few weeks. There will be an updated website with all the information! Remember to save the date and we can all celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the BMW e34 and the bimmer.info community.:D

We are actually going to be in Spring Grove, IL with scenic lakes and drives. Again, I have to finalize the plans and will have an updated website for everyone.

Can't wait for it this year. I sure hope I can get my E34 in good shape for the trip, or maybe have another one to take instead.

Los Angeles love? The last 7 years I have organized this in the Chicago area because it is a good hub for majority of the e34s. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it works out well. People have flown in for the meet years past and this year's meet will be bigger celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the e34. Here are some pics from the past e34 meets.

14 hours, so about 8-9. I'm probably going to come with my friend from school who has a e34 sedan if he can finish all the re-wiring.

I guess if we go down together that I'll be in front since I have the Jammer and Detector.

So are you guys getting excited? You know there are people who decide last minute not to go and they always regret it. We always hold it, even if rain is in the forecast. It never rained during the meet. So, make your plans, see who you can caravan with, and get those e34s fixed for the drive. I am trying to get an agenda together so this year will have more than the rest. Just meeting everyone and seeing their cars takes the whole day, but I plan to squeeze a thing or two additional. This year will have food, again, and perhaps plans for the day before. 2 years ago w group of us went karting.

I'm defiently in. might be a 14 hour drive doing 100km/h but ill cut the time in half. Might be coming down with my friend in his 525i sedan too. if he can get the whole car re-wired and painted in time.

In 2006, my E34 was getting its headgasket replaced. In 2007, I was out of the country. This year I am showing up for sure! I can't wait to meet other E34 enthusiasts and see their cars, and Chicago is only about 5 hours from Columbus.

From Texas, about 10-11hrs, depending on how much gatorade i drink on the trip :D it's worth every second too. Chicago isn't somewhere you go for 1 day though, plan a few days and mess around. This just became our annual vacation. Last year we stayed for about a week and toured the city. Brandon J is a great tour guide, and fairly soon i'm sure the g/f and I will be too. :D

Hi all!
I'm considering coming as well! I was wondering if it would be ok for my dad to bring his e39 540i with all sorts of doodads! However, our involvement is not yet 100%! that weekend is the same weekend that the BMW drivers course and junior drivers coarse are together.

I'm probably bringing my E39 540i. Doens't look like the E34 will be ready for a road trip this year, saddens me. i'm so lazy with that thing. But yeah, bring the E39 out so it can keep mine company.

Jeff noted awhile back that switching the display mode to hybrid sorts the post sequence out. It works -- try it.

Hey guys, just an update. The website will be coming soon. I had hand surgery in February so I was not able to do it myself. So keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of the new website. I hope you guys have already saved the date and planned on the attending. This year will truely be the largest e34 meet ever so don't miss out. There have always been those who decide to not go at the last minute because they think we are going to have a small meet due to weather, but they are disappointed when they see the large turnout online. I can't wait to see all the fine and not so fine examples of the e34, see all engines from the M20, M60 to the 3.8 S38. I can't wait to see all the custom engine mods that work, to the most original body. More importantly, I can't wait to meet the other crazy e34 owners. Wow I am getting excited!
