I noticed on the sticker in the driver's door jamb that 17" wheels seem to have been an option for the e34. I do not recall the recommended tire sizes but that is not important. What 17" wheels were offered for the e34? The only one's I have seen are for the e38/e39 that can be put on our cars with hubcentric rings.

I may be looking for a new set of wheels as the 16" wheels I have now with rings cause a shimmy that was not present with the stock wheels.

Thanks,
Patrick

the door jamb sticker doesn't always refer to wheels that were available from the manufacturer, it's sometimes just a general guideline if you are thinking of upsizing.

I'm pretty sure my 540i was factory fitted with 17" wheels... they're on the BMW parts system listed under my car as 'wider wheels' - though I'm not 100% sure whether the 17's on the car currently are the original 'wider wheels'
