Went relatively flawless today - pulled driveshaft, slave cylinder, removed more from up front (intake manifold and such) and then went under and undid the mounts and set up the cherry picker and she cam out the front nice and easy. I then separated the trans out of the bay.

After pulling that lump out I took the grinder to any and all randomly placed studs that used to hold down crap I don't have any more. All the nitrous and wiring from the sides is now lifted up - going to try and hide as much as I can or at least mount it down lower where its not so ugly. Going to power wash the bay next weekend I hope, and then paint it, and then we swap the engine in when it's done.

You think you could have done it without taking the front end off? Just wondering.

You spilled oil on your spotless garage floor!

Nice going Jon, almost there!

Btw does your e34 actually spend more time on or off the road being tinkered with? :P

Yes I could have but my intercooler requires me to cut my lower rad support out, as you can see. So, no - plus it made it worlds easier to just lift 1" and pull straight out without knocking around.

I also got another upper rad support that I have started bead blasting and will be powder coating satin black.

Ferret - yeah the car spends more time off the road currently, but onces its done I hope to have a lot of fun with it.

What is that parked next to it under the cover an abarth or fiat 500?

I'm confused.
Is this the same car? I thought you had different ignition and a different turbo set up installed already.

Ross this is my same 1992 525. I had a turbocharger based on an SS Autochrome manifold with an up-pipe and Holset turbocharger, 3" exhaust, 2.5" charge pipes, on a stock '92 M50B25NV motor with 200k miles.

I have now stepped it up to a fully tubular custom T4 manifold with Precision PT76gts turbo (big hp), 4" exhaust, 3" charge pipes, huge intercooler, fully built engine, 1300 hp fuel system, etc.

What happened to the wasted spark ignition?
