Does anyone know where I can purchase a Valeo Blower motor resistor online? I have looked all over and I can only find Behr. I have a 89 535. Thanks.

If your car is a 535i 1989 it's not passive resistors that are used to control the speed of the blower motor but an active (electronic) module call "the sword" located under the dash. You may get rebuild one on eBay

Well Im pretty sure it is the resistor pack. I pulled it out already. My car is euro specs. Im stationed over here in Germany. I don't know if the euro spec cars are different? The name Valeo is stamped on the heater housing.

OK my feedback was base on what electrical diagram show on my Bentley manual... for american car, if you have the resistor pack on hand though you're certainly right... for euro car !

Are you sure it's the resistor? Could just be the knob in the center console that's giving you grief. Se Ferret's thread on fixing it.

well i followed the thread about the knob and it turned out that was the problem. So my blower works in all speeds now. Thanks
