All retail battery providers can tell you the proper battery code. Just go there and get one.

Here is what Interstate comes up with for your/our cars: http://www.interstatebatteries.com/estore/search.asp?details=1&mscssid=EB14KKXV1HKT9PLVG87UQBLA6XAW8915&N=21+4294795510+2147384755+4294794340&part_number=MTP%2D91&part_desc=Mega%2DTron+Plus+%2D+85+Months+%2D+700+C CA&Nu=Part+Number&Ns=product+Type%7C0%7C%7CRank%7C1&js=1

I just put this one in mine (I did however move the battery under the right rear seat):
http://www.interstatebatteries.com/estore/search.asp?details=1&mscssid=EB14KKXV1HKT9PLVG87UQBLA6XAW8915&Ntt=MTP%2D93&N=0&Dx=mode+matchboolean&part_number=MTP%2D93&Nty=0&D=MTP%2D93&Nu=Part+Number&Ntx=mode+matchboolean&part_desc=Mega%2DTron+Plus+%2D+85+Months+%2D+850+C CA&Ns=product+Type%7C0%7C%7CRank%7C1&Ntk=SearchGroup&js=1

I had the previous Interstate battery MTP-93 for 7+ years before it would no longer hold a charge. $118.00 installed including new vent tube.

take a ruler and measure the length. tell us what it is, and we can tell you if you can use a group 49. which seems to be the best deal going as far as "power" goes, and is what most e34s use.
