Whoopin' on the 951 at a track day this summer. That's our friend Maximabello ridin' right seat.

She's getting new suspenders this winter; do ya think she needs em?

I thought the same thing, so I looked it up...

"In 1985 Porsche introduced the 944 Turbo, a higher-performance variant, known internally as the 951 (952 for right-hand drive models). " - Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_944#944_Turbo_.28951.29)

Paul - a "951" is just porsche talk for a 944 turbo.

Kris - Sways may come later. I'm putting in some near race grade springs and torsion bars (no springs in the back) along with front camber plates. We'll see if it still needs sways after that or not. Adjustable sways will help with the tune...lowering and pretty stiff springs should control the chassis roll.

it doesn't roll that much

its at about 60 miles here; of course its not on a autocross circuit.

...car's just coming out of an aggressive braking zone (90 --> 20mph) and is turning into about a 150 degree low speed turn.

It's lifting the inside tire because the back of the car was very unloaded from the extreme braking and then, while it's ass was in the air - the turn turned in. This rolled the body to the right as well lifting the back inside tire.

You can see these pics all the time on stiffly sprung auto-x cars, specially front drivers with sticky tires.

I was surprised to the P-car pull this because it's running on Yoko ES1000's - a street tire - and I never thought it would get that much hookup to lift the inside rear.

The cool thing is that the front is under control and not washing out.

Pretty impressive hookup for a stock setup. Still - it really really really needs some stiff springs to control the chassis. I have some fun sequence pics I'll post later where you can watch the weight transitions....
