Got hit today pulling into the parking lot at work.

Was just entering when I saw a coworkers trucks reverse lights on. My first reaction was to slam on the breaks and throw it into reverse. I stopped but my shifter needs new bushings so I couldn't get it in gear fast enough. Needles to say it didnt work. I honked but he was already too close.

the big chevy truck got a 8" x 5" or so dent in his bumper... I got away with a scratch

I figure ill cover it with some bondo filler, sand it down, and spray paint the entire bumper again. Its almost unnoticeable, I thought I got away without a scratch. Only found this after he left.

Have never hit/got hit by car in over 7 years driving...

Err.. well.. Have got hit before but never while behind the wheel.

The hit threw me back into the street, im really surprised how little its damaged. Unfortunately my bumper is probably much more expensive to replace. Hope my repair works.

Looks like you faired pretty well!
Hardly looks noticeable.

Imagine that...a bumper that's actually made to take a hit. :p

Our cars can take a modest beating very well. I don't even worry when I park my car in a tight parallel spot.

Heyyyy my trim had a scratch like that one.....

Just grab a new trim piece and call it a day.

Glad I didn't see a pic of an e34 crushed like I was expecting.

Probably disappointing a lot of people :p

I'm still recovering from the trauma.

A little ding in the trim is hardly even worth posting about. The guys bumper is bent inside, I feel bad.

Should of just stopped and honked. Got overconfident and tried to move out of the way... Which from my experience is usually the best course of action, just a mistake this time.
