Bring a bit of the garage to his bedroom. :)

Years ago my mother bought this dresser when I was born. We've had it in my son's room since he was born 3 yrs ago. Since he's such a car nut, I wanted to dress it up a bit. I primed and painted. Then I used some u-channel aluminum to make the handles, which I took a wire wheel to give it a brushed aluminum look. An aluminum door threshold became a kick plate. Took one of the "Craftsman" badges from my tool box to complete the look. I'm pretty happy with the results. Just need to get some stickers. :)

That is such a brilliant idea!

I'd like to bet a few forum members would like a dresser like that in their own rooms, let alone their kids room!

that's really cool. Just becareful though.. if you seem to be missing some tools.. I'm sure he's probably just putting them away in his toolbox.

Bring a bit of the garage to his bedroom. :)

Awesome, better than awesome actually - what a gift. I'll bet your boy will be proud of that dresser, and even prouder that you made it for him.

Well done!

dang you... now I'm going to have to do that too.

Wasn't enough that he has his own toolbox in the garage next to mine???

Great Idea, good execution.

What to do when your son wants to be in the garage all the time

Wow man your solution is so much better than mine! My emmidiate idea when i read your topic title was to lock him in the garage and forget about him. Nice dresser!

That's a slick idea, and well executed........
All it needs are these to make it a real 'roll away' chest ......

You are creating a monster!!

He'll be pulling his bicycle to bits soon, and building 'billy-carts**' in no time!!

(**Billycart is an Aussie term, google it!! Many an injury came from my billycarts over the years!!)
