Hi guys/gals I have a no start prob with my e34. I bought it like that for very cheap. I looked a the car and towed it to my shop (Pflueger Cadillac Hummer GMC). It cranks but no start. I have good signal from the crank sensor, but no spark. If I understand it correctly if there is no spark there cannot be any injector pulse because the ECU has no reference from the cylinder ID sensor. I have fuel pressure with a EBAY ecu. No fuel pressure with the OE ECU and no spark. The EBAY ECU has a weird symptom, the A/C blower stays on low and will not shut off. I am leaning towards a OE ECU from the dealer, but the price is about $700. Anyone have any other ideas?? Cheaper alternative to a $700 part?? Thanks in advance. Scotty:(

buy a manual with wiring diagram. check appropriate fuses. Start very very basic and work your way up.

Do the stomp test and get the fault codes.

Check the signal lead from the spark plug wires. If it doesn't provide a good signal, the engine should still run, but not well. Also, make sure that the two plugs from the spark sensor and the crankshaft sensor aren't reversed where they plug into the engine harness behind the thermostat housing.

i'd say the bentley manual is the standard around here
