Hi E34ers.
Where there is speed signal of e34 ? I wants to attach hud(head improving display) to my e34(1995)? What is the color of the line?

Welp, I am of no help, but definitely subscribed.

I wanna see this.

Would it be easiest to just tap into the velocity reading from the obc? I pull that up sometimes while Im driving just because its neat to see a digital reading of my speed.

Okay. I'll bite.
At the DME pin #42 a blk/ wht wire is the vehicle speed sensor input. At the cluster pins 8 brn/rd & 10 brn X271 connector are the speedo signal.
This I've gotta see.

GPS input instead?

I wedge my Gecko GPS between the dash and windshield on trips to help keep the eyes in the right place while driving.

I would like to see the write up on this. Very interesting.

tacometer and obc output as a HUD would be very interesting. However, BMW's uses a special windshield for display. Looks like a tough problem on at least a couple levels.

I believe there are films that can be placed on the windshield that are reflective and transparent. I got the idea of using a pda as a HUD a while ago but gave up due to complexity.

tacometer and obc output as a HUD would be very interesting. However, BMW's uses a special windshield for display. Looks like a tough problem on at least a couple levels.

same here. wanted to do that mod since I saw one in an m5 but just thinking of the complexity and how much it'll cost hurts my brain just thinkin about it:D

Ahhh the Defi VSD>>> before the VSD, one Defi was speedo, the other was boost or tach??? they just surface mounted in the dash and required only the appropriate sensor wire, 12+, and ground and a piece of reflective film.. i tihnk they were about $200+
and came in your choice of red translucent plastic & display or blue translucent plastic display
