for those who still do not know it how to do ;)
Basis for info is an E32 735, but about the same on E34

I'd add: Make sure you get the correct replacement bulbs. The BMW parts films in the past showed the incorrect bulb which lasted a very short time. The correct bulb has a tall black base as shown in the link. The bulb sold by dealers according to the films has a short base, almost none to speak of and may be green IIRC. It's a voltage issue.

the black based bulbs (which is what most OBCs need that were imported to the USA)...it has been posted hundreds of times that the bulb listed in the ETK is WRONG and that you need the black based 12v bulb (BMW part # 62 11 1 368 299) and the hole thing costs about .64 (cents) to about $1 from a BMW dealer.
