Are they supposed to be pointing the other way? Did the guys i had put them on put them on the wrong sides? Without looking at the other side I just thought going in to the spin like that is probably why i get some slight humm when braking.. Not neccesarliy wearing the pads more but While I'll look at the driver's side tomorrow to se e if they are pointing into the spin too and if so try swapping them so they trail the spin

Not all slotted rotors are directional. Meaning you might've gotten a set that's got identical right & left rotors. The nicer, more expensive ones have mirror matched slots so that there's a proper left and right rotor. And yeah, they're usually installed so that the slot sweeps back, not forward.

The slight hum may well be the start of a bearing going, not rotors. Try a good hard stop from 120+ and see if noise appears at about 70-ish, no noise/hum/throb, no problem.

drilling and slotting rotors WILL make a noise when braking - no way around it.
