Front right calliper.
The wheel wouldn't turn, so I supsected a seized calliper. Rebuilt it.
Then I noticed that no fluid is coming from the line.
I disconnected the line, pressed the brake pedal and nothing came out...
I disconnected the line from the ABS central unit and blow air, the line isn't obstructed.

There is two lines coming out of the master cylinder and going into the ABS central unit. Then all the other lines are going from the ABS to the callipers.

Could it be a problem with the ABS unit???
Can you easilly pull an ABS unit out and replace it with another one??? Is bleeding a problem in this case???

Thanks for the help. :(

same circuit on your car... Is the left rear also locked up...Also the brake line on the master cylinder thats closest to the booster is the one that feeds the front right and left rear...I personally haven't seen an abs unit cause this but I don't know what to tell you without seeing the car..

Sorry It was the front LEFT.

But I will follow your advice, I need to lift the rear to see if there is a problem with the rear. I have never seen this problem, I will check the rear right, but I don't think that the rear has any problems as I changed the rear brakes....

Very odd. If the rear left also has a problem then I will suspect the master cylinder.

i have had a couple abs pumps die from a locked up solonoid, one on my 535, id mash the brake and the lf wheel would lock and stay locked till i loosened a line and pissed out the pressure, i traced it to the pump by cracking lines till i got to one that didn't unlock the wheel. on the early e34 it's a 4 channel abs system, 2 lines into the pump and 4 out, around 92 they changed to the later 3 channel system 2 lines in 3 lines out (they combined the rear into one)

There was quite a lot of foreign elements flotting in the brake lines.
So I gently tapped on the ABS unit then flushed the brake fluid.... And voila.

Everything works. Thanks guys.

Hey I know this great guy that sells those Brake Pressure Bleeders...=)

I had trouble with the MB's front brakes dragging something terrible after using the brakes 3 times. Come to find out, the master cylinder was binding after the 3rd time of compression every time. Replaced the MC and like your problem, it went away...trouble is, it was $90 from BMA...not as reasonable as yours!!!

Glad it works for you,

You coming to the Chicago Pic-Nic? You and Gordon and Mark D could caravan....=)

Sounds nice and it has been awhile since I went to Chicago.
But I will have to pass. I need to look for a location in the area and work on my business plan. I also need to finish my Canadian part store: www.racingking.ca
And I need to work on my race car project: E36 325is. And I need to try to trade the winter 525i for a E36 318is.

I am still keeping the 535i.
