i want to improve the M50 engine ease to rev - mostly i feel it feels heavy to rev easily ... compared to japanese engines.

would things improve if i do:

1. clutch fan delete & replace with electric fan
2. use flywheel from e28?
3. what else ???

Lightened flywheel, 4.11 rear end, lose weight

4.11? I had a 4.10, I believe, when I had the 4spd auto. Now I got the 3.15

shave your flywheel a couple of mm, that should give you a nice snappy rev

Not clear what you are comparing it to but it probably has to do with bore/stroke/mapping etc so I cant see a quick fix. I really like the M50 power band as it suits how I drive. Mine wakes up about 3k rpm but the Honda has had lunch by then

If you want to improve drive ability without too much pain - chip it!!!!
Made a huge difference to me (no the engine does not rev faster, but it changed the sensitivity of the pedal such that I didn't feel like I was pushing through the floor to get the car to move)
EAT by the way.
