Hey guys,

Been contemplating a wrecked 1993 E34 in Melbourne, specifically for its leather interior. There are a few other little bits and pieces I want off it too, and I have a few people keen to pitch in and 'group buy' it.
The car in question is this one. Have a good look at the interior colour...

So here is my question:

What colour scheme is the interior of my E34?? Its a 12/89 built 535iA, cloth seats, no sunroof, no cruise. I have included a bunch of photos for you interior gurus out there!! Is my interior the same colour as the 1993 wreck on EBay?? How many blue-shades of interior were there?? I found Ultramarin and Indigo on realOEM, but thats about it. I pulled a few bits off my car, but the part numbers on RealOEM didn't match up...

NB- The colours aren't this bright!! The flash on the camera picked up a lot more of the blue than you can normally see. The tones are probably faded a bit too, but that is why I took quite a few pics of various areas of the interior.

The first pic is most true-to-form colour wise... Thats almost how the interior looks in normal light.

Thanks :D

Ew one of my friends had a blue interior e34 that he wrecked and is now a parts car, I hated the interior with a passion.

Would much prefer black or something, but that requires dashboard-out kinda surgery... I'm a bit scared of that!!

Blue.. Meh, its all good.

Hi Nick

The 90 525 that I have has the same interior as yours. I haven't figured out if its ultramarin or Indigo.

I never used to like the blue interior, but now that I own one, I don't mind it at all. I do think the blue cloth looks better than the blue leather.

I'm up for the right front speaker grill from the wrecked car!

I wonder if the dash top, and tops of the doors are indigo, and the lower part of the dash and the doors, and the centre console etc is Ultramarin?? Hmmm...

If I end up buying it, I'll let you know re: the speaker grille!! ;)

visit your local dealer with the last 7 digits of your VIN and they'll give you a printout of all the options and colors.

EDIT: just saw your pics... and Bimmerman's is the same now I come to think of it. A lovely shade of blue after all!

Are you serious about it? Let's work it out! I could do with the drivetrain... let's not bid against each other... :p
