Right now I have got a '95 325ic and an '00 Accord (commuter). I am thinking about selling them both and getting this '00 540i/6. I had a '95 525 for a while when I was in college (rip), and I want another 5er. Also, having 2 cars right now is not very logical for me. Enough about me, on to the car.

It's got 72k, and I would be getting it from the original owner. He has all maintenance receipts, window sticker, dinan receipts for exhaust, software, and CAI. He's asking $15,900 for it.

He had sold the car to someone but on the way to the airport he hit a tire carcass. It did some damage to the front end (front bumper, fog light, hood). He had it repaired at a BMW certified body shop here in Little Rock. I'm going to take a look at it this afternoon at the body shop.

How does $15,900 sound for the car? What should I look out for? Pics below:

I know most of you guys have E34s, but if you can provide any input, please do.

It's not bad, price maybe a little high. my '98 has been very reliable in the 2yrs 60k miles i've put on it, and Brandon J also has a '99 540i.

* remove the CDV if you're good with a manual tranny
* get HID's if it doesn't have them
* the E39 540i brakes work well, but a good set of pads and rotors help a lot, it's a heavy car
* M5 rear swaybar is a must
* it has the DSP stereo, upgrade to the M5 subs and BavarianSoundwerks front speakers
* Folding rear seats are a godsend.

Come join us over at Bimmerfest, while bimmer.info is awesome for the e34's, Bimmerfest's E39 forum is great. I don't think there's much E39 activity here. Look for me over there under the same username.
