So I just got my smoked tails (depo) from Mel over at Aberhams...

Despite my throughts about depo, the tails seem solid...and

THE CAR LOOKS about 1000 times better :)

Yes hellas, they're not pitch black. But they look amazing on silver e34's ;)

I want to see those smoked Hellas on Alpine.

BFEINZIMER, what kind of green is your E34? I would like to see smoked white. I have an oxford green and although I think that having smoked Hellas like CharlesAFerg on my oxford green would look a little silly (only looks good for silver/grey and black E34s IMO) smoked whites would be an interesting idea. At the moment I have just euroclears and I think it looks good, esp. with that red licence plate reflector that everyone else on here thinks looks like **** ;)

I want to see those smoked Hellas on Alpine.

We can throw mine on yours when you come up for the light swap, but I think an alpine needs DARK smoked tails (I'll smoke your OEM's ;)), these are kind of a deep grey which is why I think it fits perfectly with my 5. (EDIT: in these pics they look pretty dark, in sunlight they don't)

Here's a pic of mine...

That's one clean e34. Wow. The staggered rondells?, the drop, the tint.

Very nice looking car.

What size rims and what suspension are you running?

Awesome. Find yourself a set of m-tech side skirts and the car is simply perfect.

...oh yeah, and replace that rear exhaust hanger, the tips are slightly crooked. :)

Macv

Yeah, I replaced my hanger once, then when I was done I realized there was another. :D

Mmm yeah, mtech. I don't have the time or money at the moment. More important things.

Wow Mac, what color is that? It looks totally awesome! Is it a factory color or aftermarket? I can't decide between alpine or black, and this one looks like a perfect alternative.

It looks like lachsilber metallic.
Same as me.

After, with me being a comical douche with ****ed up hair and dirty car getting out of the high desert of Bend, OR this summer (see tires) ...and I detailed the car before I left too.

OH! Also, my hellas came with a filler that has the same diamond-cut light look as the lights, but I just left my m5 filler on because it's a pain in the ass to take off. I think it would look better with the matching filler.
MacV, if I put on my matching filler, would you want to buy my M5 filler off me for cheap?

I want to live in Cali. You guys have desert climates actually near civilization. So nice. I'm sick of this dragging-on Oregon rain.

IMHO i think the red/white look better on black cars....the smoke is getting too black,

Macv

My car is granitesilber 237... a little darker than Charles's. Which btw looks pretty good. I believe its screaming for a tint and painted lowers though :) However... I find the plate fillers only look good with the lowers black. So keep the two tone, it works for your 5.

I had the black hella plate filler and got rid of it, so I'd have to pass on the m5 filler. I'm sure somebody would nab it.

Mind if i build the exact same car as yours, Mac? Well mine will probably have throwing stars but those polished style 5s look awesome too, so i might get a set of that instead :P

Only if you do it to the teeth. There's many suprises on the inside you'll have to match as well ;)

Were you refering to my wheels as style 5s? http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/nono.gif Rondell 58s. :D

I'd throw up a pic of the car but its dirty as fu*k and the Santa Ana winds are preventing me from washing it...it would just f up the paint :(
