I might be picking up a 93 525iT w/the M50TU, but it comes stock with the basketweaves, the same ones that are on my 535i. I know 525s usually come with the bottlecaps unless there was some option package.

What option package had the BBS's as standard fare? I'm hoping it's the ASC...:p

Nah, someone just retrofitted. It could still have ASC though.

you could prolly just get the basketweaves if you wanted with no other options

Yes the basketweaves were an option on tourings, in my opinion, the earlier the car the less likely the option was fitted here in the US. IMO almost all 95 525iT had basketweaves, heated seats and the full OBC.

I can't tell where the OP is from but as for US-production cars, the basket-weave alloys weren't available on the 525i or T until they became part of the premium package in 1995. Also, AST wasn't available on our 525i's until model-year 1994. Basketweaves were never available as an option by themselves.
