What is the best technique to replace all the pullies, idlers, tensioners and belt for the Alternator, water pump, etc on a 95 525i with the M50TU, built 1/95. Not the AC belt pully as I have done that task. I am getting a bit of squeal/rattle on first start of the morning that goes away after warm up. In addition, the top pully seems a bit loose. Also, the alternator belt has been on the car for about 34,000 miles

I think I need to remove the radiator fan and shroud, then protect the radiator. Not sure of the best next steps. Any and all help appreciated. An Archive search was not as helpful as I needed.

I also think this would be a great time to replace the plastic thermostat housing with an aluminum housing. Perhaps even to flush and refill the radiator.

Thanks in advance

It's from my tech tips link page. The main page is Russian with English in brackets. Rest is English. Have not checked if the info you need is inside. But give it a try.
