i bought my 5er from auction imports from japan...have no idea on how many owner it has, nevertheless don't really care for as long as its in top shape and drives like a champ and does not really give me headaches as much as my friends 1999 e39:D :D

2nd owner. I purchased it from a Volvo/Cadillac dealer. It was owned by an older couple (wife's car) who traded it in on a New Volvo SUV. Almost perfect condition cosmetically. Bit of deferred maintenance which as been more than taken care of. Way too much to list

However, the car is better now then when I bought it (72,000 miles later). :)

2nd owner. Bought it from my father

Dear ole dad had it serviced regularly by the stealer. He drove it 187K miles in about 9 years. I took it off his hands for cash and have owned it for 7 years and 60K miles.

Still like it. Plan to give it to my son for college. So it will be a 3-generation Bimmer.

4th i think... the first had it for a long time and took care of it but it has been neglected for a few years (and badly driven) since... i bought it in july and have been working on it a lot, this forum and bruno's site are a huge help... finding you guys was a big reason why i bought the car as i don't know much (thanks again!) ...and it fits a cello hardcase in the trunk... i'm lovin' it!

I'm the fourth owner. First was a canadian doctor, second was a bimmer nut in canada (the maintenance records for that period of time indicate that the car was driven almost 200,000km in about 6 or 7 years and had almost $25,000CDN in maintenance service and minor upgrades/mods), third brought it down to nova (nova=NoVa, Northern Virginia) and is a friend who i bought the car off of after he went to iraq.

MY NEIGHBOR however is the first owner of his 95 schwarz 530im and hasn't put 100,000 miles on it yet. dealer serviced its entire life but just had $11,000 (yes, thats right) of work done after a water pump failure (he decided to have EVERY possible maintenance/wear item replaced any now has a car thats mechanically like new).

I still remember when my car came home from the stealer brand new...it still had all the little stickers and tags all over it. For the first 5 years of its life I used to sit in the back as a kid and get really car sick because the new car smell was overwhelming.

Picked it up off my Dad with 180,000kms on the clock and in mint condition. I'm 22 now and it will have its 20th Birthday in Oct 2008...birthday celebration supercharger planned...not...

I have records from two previous owners. First one bought brand new and drove about 30k. Second one bought it Pre-Owned from dealer and drove about 40k. I have it now for a year and half with about 10k on the clock.

I'm the second owner - completely dealer serviced until I got my ham-fisted hands on it.

The PO even paid the dealer $13 to put his new plates on it (no joke).
Now if he would have just paid someone to wax the paint and clean the interior...

#631; 5:th, first was BMW München, the guy before me was a traffic cop = never changed brake fluid during his 4 years, spent a lot on fixing it to perfect condition, it's getting Carbon black 18" Style 5 this week, instead of the "boring" silver 17" Style 5 it has now, will sell it to be able to buy back #794, which I could have all E34 540i/6:D

#736; 4:th, extremely good condition, never repainted will having driven 200 000km and looking good every were, sold to Norway July 1 2007:( Had to many but I have of course first right to buy it back, like always:)

#768; 3:rd, first was BMW M GMBH who used it as a test car with a 4582cm3 engine with 350BHP, probably prototype engine for S62 in E39 M5, second was Polizei (German police) in Stuttgart from 1996-2007 who used it as a under cover car for special services I bought it from a police auction a rare car with Nürburgring chassis, M5 brakes, M System II wheels, the most special E34 I know, probably together with it's sister car in Cosmosschwarz.

#774; 4:th, first was BMW Dingolfing, had it since March 2002 (never selling) just like #768

#788; 3:rd, First was BMW München, second owner a private person had it from Sept 1996-April 2007 when I bought it, last HE51 with M Sport package

#794; 4: th, First was BMW München, sold it in Nov 2006, buying it back and becoming 6:th owner next month:)

540iAM Individual; 4: th and 7: th, sold it in April 2006 bought it back this month.

All cars except the last bought in Germany by me, the 540iAM was imported from there by the guy before me.

No 540i/6 E34 was sold new in Sweden and no E34: s at all with M Sport package regards less of engine, we had to stick with M5 6speed which we bought four Sedan and one Touring, harsh times back then.

Numero dos. Car was originally bought at BMW of Honolulu, then shipped over by the previous owner in '92. Then it looks like it was driven fairly regularly for a few years, then maybe used as a weekend car for about 5 years until I bought it in 2002 with less than 90k miles.

Stephan735i
09-26-2007, 12:52 AM
Why?

Cheap (sold it for $9000 and bought it back for $2500) and needs someone (read me) to get it in to good shape (was ok when I sold it, a little worse now), so new windscreen, 18" Style 5, new A/C Condensor, new paint almost everywhere and insp2 is coming, a special car here is a link http://www.garaget.org/?car=61196
