I just bought a 94 540I this week. The wheels are in bad shape. Can anyone tell me what they came from and if they are valuable. i am trying to determine wether to restore these wheels or just look for a good stock set.
They are 16" and have the numbers 18167-1 on the back of one spoke. Thanks for the help.

Well I couldn't find these wheels on Felgen Katalog (http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/), unless it is a wheel that a picture hasn't been found for it yet.

I suspect perhaps that these are aftermarket rims? The centre cap is in very bad shape, different colour (different metal?) and banged up quite a bit. How on earth is that possible? Kerbing your wheels usually does it from the edge of the wheel, not the rim of it.

I believe with BMW wheels, the part number is stamped on every wheel, not just one.

Not OE and not valuable.

I wouldn't bother...probably decent winter wheels.

They are in a European D&W catalogue as "soft-spoke" (my translation), middle price,E28&E34 firment. The other thing I found in the catalogue was a transfer of an E30 M3 engine designed to be stuck on the bonnet(hood) of a standard car, hum!

I think they may be ASA's or DP Motorsports from many moons ago....but they are certainly not worth investing any $$ to refinish...they look like a 16x7" FWD offering...not exactly a highlight for any E34.. I have a nice set of Type 42 replicas available if you are interested. 17x8 and 17x9 direct bolt-on and hub-centric.

if they are stock they look a little bit like style 10.
