Hrrrrm...

Current top artists include:

David Guetta
Tiesto
Eric Clapton
Texas (dont shoot me!)

I've got one of those mp3 head units that allows you to put 8 albums or so on per CD and seeing as I've got 350gb ish of MP3s there's a lot to choose from. I'm going to change it to a headunit that has a usb port on the back and then plug in a large disk with my entire collection. Shuffle button comes in handy then :D

However if I'm doing late night driving through 2-4am en route to my parents place up north, I've got a lot of classical stuff hidden at the back of my cd wallet :P

Going the distance... awesome choice BFEINZIMER!

My car's build date is 04/95, so I like to sometimes listen to music from the era. Such as:
Groovejet
Legend B - Lost in Love ([i]very[/] fast)
Passion - Gat Décor
Seven Days and One Week - BBE
Not Over Yet (Perfecto Remix) - Grace
Right in the night - Jam and Spoon
Resurection - PPK

Also I like to listen to:
Blink 182 - Feeling this (riffs are awesome to drive to)
Proper Education - Eric Prydz
Yeah Yeah - Bodyrox feat Luciana
Din Da Da - Solid Groove & Sinden
Musclecars - Mylo [Freeform Five mix] (great for hillclimbs)
Bounce - Timbaland
When the sun goes down - Arctic Monkeys (once it kicks in that is)

And for shits and giggles... Ca Plane pour moi (!!!) and White and Nerdy by Al Yankovic, because I'm white and nerdy :P

EDIT: ****! i forgot! How could I forget Fuel -- Metallica

For sustained high speeds - anything baroque on a pipe organ. (think Bach's toccata & fuge) accompanied by a wailing V-12. Ahh nearer my God to thee.

What, no rap fans :p ? Or current commercially pushed drivel for that matter?

Seems E34 owners are into niches and classics. I'm starting to feel at home here.

Drum & Bass for me while I'm driving fast...

LTJ Bukem
Dieselboy
John B
High Contrast

I listen to some Rap, but it's mostly stuff from the 90's as opposed to recent releases. Every once in a while there is a new "crunk" track that's good for driving though. Rap is like candy... it's not really good for you, but it does feel good sometimes. :)

that's awesome! Dutch trance is the BEST, but infected mushroom is more like D&B electronica. I think MACV would like KORSAKOFF for his burnout sessions... :D

Nice . I've found The Sailor's Tale also has a direct ear/gas pedal-foot connection. Grateful Dead stuff like Bertha, Big River, Franklin's Tower ,Dancin' in the Streets or especially Shakedown Street inspire me to floor it bobin' and weavin' when on the open highways. Allman Brothers like Jessica, Revival or Dreams trigger the impulse too..

I always thought it a funny yet odd coincidence that I got 2 speeding tickets within 6 weeks of each other, both with Radar Love by Golden Earring cranking on the radio.
As a rule, For the long haul, nearly any Jeff Beck will get my foot itching, but Led Zeppelin will always get the led(foot) out. Try the soundtrack from the film 'The Song Remains The Same' Rock and Roll/Celebration Day, and Whole Lotta Love from the same release. Absolutely killer stuff in my book.

I swap the CDs in my car ever couple of weeks or so.. ATM I have a good range, with Seether's "One Cold Night" album, 36 Crazy Fist's "A Snow-Capped Romance" and 4 mix CDs with stuff ranging from Foo Fighters, Slipknot, Mudvayne and other various genres.

Nothing better than driving with good tunes!
