E34: Manual window retro-fit

i'm interested in replacing all my power windows with manual wound windows - i remember seeing them in e34 taxies back in germany.

does anyone know what are all the relevant parts to buy and their part number?

would appreciate any experience/feedback in this area.

umm, just a question..why would you want to convert your power windows to manual?should be the other way around:D

the motors don't last too long in the hot humid tropics i have over here. i also figure going manual will cut down on the electrics to go wrong in the car.

Might also save some weight but I'd still have the electrics

Try finding them off of ebay or go to a junkyard and get them, it shouldnt be to hard, the whole is actually in the panel if you take it off you will see for the window crank. Im guessing it should be plug and play.

I've seen two types of regulators. One with a clockspring and one without.
Assuming the clockspring is to assist with the hand cranking
