Why does everyone pick on us? :D

I'd pick a bimmer or mercedes over a caddy anyday.

Easy on Jay. It's obviously promotional and all he said was "I'd put it up against", without any further implication.
Given BMWs current styling and techno silliness I'd give the Caddy a long look if I were in the market.
Leno has done lots of good for the car hobby and is reputed to be most hospitable regarding his collection.

Toyota Yaris, those ****ers are ugly. Fords in general. And the Scion toaster.

I'm guessing somebody's never driven a cts-V? Those things are quick & drive nicely. The downsides are the looks, some GM peculiarities, & the expected quality issues.

And the Scion toaster.

So how the hell do you touch park a new 5 series, hang Bangle and get a proper shape,as for that caddy, dash made by somebody with Parkinsons,if you must have a V8, get a Holden Monaro.

anything by general motors is of poor quality though, why would you bother with a monaro?

I kinda like when the product designer says "lots of performance". Not sure what that means exactly though.

Ah, Americans never grew out of the chrome age. Soo much chrome on that STS. Chrome was only cool up to the 80s.

The front grill/kidney, headlights and bumper is covered in chrome. Its a bit easier to see on a black car. If you look at some newer Ford sedans, their tail lights are also covered in chrome.

I'm not talking about the taurus, I am talking about the STS. The grille you are referring to is stainless steel, not chrome. I don't see this chrome that you do...

No chrome on the back at all:

STS-V and CTS-V side by side.

It looks cheap to me. It can be made of gold, it still won't look right in my opinion. A straight black grill would look much meaner. Believe me, I do like the overall design of the car. I just have a pet peeve with over usage of chrome.

I wonder if a grille delete option is available on the V cars. Personally, I find it looks sporty. I do hate cheap looking mesh tho, like you see on some aftermarket mesh kits.

Quite wrong about that. Granted the plastic bits tend to shed after a short time but mechanical reliability is there and the bodies are outlasting at least the Japanese competition.
GMs better marques are fine, it's the throwaway cars that are truely trash.
Don't forget how much of each cars price goes to former employees on the dole. If they can outlast that predicament the Euros will have their hands full.

2nd that. We had a Pontiac "throw away car" that outlasted all of my expectations. The newer GMs seem to be pretty well built. I think the key is to buy a GM that is built at the Nummi plant here in Fremont--it's managed by Toyota.
