I have a question. About the Leather with wood trim door panels. Should that leather innerpiece be flat or should it have folds?

NO FOLDS, FLAT

I like that style of the folds, looks prettier. but my front driver side door panel is just flat, but my rear door panels have the folds.

Are the folds wear on the adhesive or something or is it supposed to be like that?

I believe at some point in E34 production they switched to the "gathered" look for the leather in the door panels. So in a later model it should look like that.

The smooth one is vinyl which i have, and the ruffled is actual leather which was available to all 95 models in the US at least. If you notice those doors also have a stitched door handle versus non-stitched.
