Southwest Airlines has them as low as $80.00 one way. Depends on when you are going. Check out www.iflyswa.com and try a few dates....

sometimes a round trip costs less then a one way so price it both ways, you can toss the other ticket if it's cheaper, sorta like how in some burger joints a combo burger, frys and drink costs more then just a burger and drink, it just don't make no sense

Mu Auto Ins is also cheaper carrying my dead Chevy G3500 cargo van than if i canceled it... dead 5.7 ltr Vortec V8 with over 355,000 miles. had a leaking head gasket and i got stuck in snow and floored it and the engine just quit. Chocolate Milk in the crank case...

Did not realise that internal flights were so expensive,Europe is now about $150 return anywhere,SF is $780 return business. How about a travel club or joining Airline frequent club?

I flew tro cali from here for aboyut $150 last year on United.
Funnily enough the major carriers and single stop flights are often far less expensive than 2 stops or regional low buck carriers for one way flights into a major airport.

Well, it's $900-1600 to ship the car home. My window for driving home was Aug1-8th, and now my kids are in school and my spec renovation of a 1939 house has begun the construction phase. It sat for a month waiting soil tests and engineering and now everything is ramped. It couldn't be a worse time, what with opening football season on Saturday and dove season Sept 1st.

I found an $80 ticket on southwest but it doesn't leave until the 5th. It may have to do.

You know I am itching to drive, but the penalty is too great at this time. Plus can't you just see me doing a 100 on I-10 in 110'F and blowing multiple things up? That would be the main reason for not taking the 5 to LA and hopping on 10 which would be the fastest way home. It would be more like Oakland to Las Vegas, pics on the Hoover Dam, the bunny ranch, Sante Fe for some turquoise, quick stop at the Gage Hotel in Marathon, Junction, Johnson City, Austin.

My friend who owns this is ready to drive and he can fix anything too.

Umm, meat, that would imply that my window for driving was closed, hence the use of the past tense.

You can have it. A CD43 is going in the minute I get the keys. I'm bringing the new deck out to cali with me if I choose driving over shipping. That's driving the car from Cali to Austin, or shipping the car via covered car hauler to Austin for Tiger :p

Southwest Airlines lost my GF's luggage and refused to cough up. We were forced to sue to recover. Even after we got a judgement they tried to weasel out of paying. Despicable ****s they are.
Wouldn't fly them for free.

Why not replace that motor? That engine is cheap to get... but then again at 355,000 miles... whoa... tranny any good?
