wide hood/grill conversion

I've almost completed my conversion but i think i shouldnt spend any more money for this month... All i need is the headlight grills. Can i cut my old narrow style headlight grills to at least fit the wide grill at least for now?

I don't see why not, if you can somehow find the genuine wide grill ones (from a diagram) for comparison I don't see how why you wouldn't be able to replicate them. I never really understood why so many of you guys like the wide grill, I personally hate it to each his own I guess.

I like em both... the wide grill is a bit more modern and makes the front of the car look lower and more aggressive IMO. the narrow is just classic. :D

I feel that way too. I just love how the E34 has the classic/modern look. Well I was only curious about the headlight grills. I was planning on getting the real ones but even with my discount they are 40 bucks each special order at the dealer.
