As the title suggest, i have an annoying rattle in my rear view mirror. I don't know why, probably because i have this 1600 watt mono amp in the trunk powered by two Kicker L7's:( . but anyway, when i play my music at medium loudness, i get this annoying rattle in the rear view mirror. If i put my hand on the mirror it goes away. So my question is how would i go about taking the mirror off and opening it up to tighten any loose screws etc......

The mirror just turns off .... grab it and turn it in the plane of the windshield ... if that makes any sense.

When you look at the part of the mirror that attaches to the windshield you will see 3 wires. These wires act as springs to retain the mirror to the bracket on the windshield. Rotating the wires so that they bend towards the center should remove any play and get rid of the rattle.
