Is that rust on the left side of the pic, in the door jam?

By the looks of it the kit was not taken care of very well. The paint being all shot on the piping says it was installed/removed a few times for sure. It sucks that Todd doesn't powdercoat the piping, I mean for $6k and all...

It belongs to Craig S on bf.c.

Yup. Craig's car. I believe it was the TCD development test mule.

...Is that a good thing, or are there serious problems? You should link me to the board you are referring to, because I wouldn't mind doing a search. Thanks for the info.

*EDIT*

Is it this guy here?

The TCD intercooler looks different now. Charles, this is not the car you are referring to. Anyway I would never complain with one of their kits, I want to purchase one in the future.

You can see what their intercooler looks like now;

Yo Jon K, there's a guy here who states that after have a megasquirt for a month before he got the car to start. It isn't that hard to wire up and get going is it? http://mye28.com/viewtopic.php?p=281206#281206

I don't understand that sentence.
"...that after have a megasquirt for a month before he got the car to start"?
Dude, please put some grammar in there or something, lol.

Charles, the link you posted is to Andrew's set-up. He's using TCD hardware. There was an article about the car in BMW Performance recently. Craig has had a TCD S1, went to a 540i/6, then back to a TCD S2. It has a thicker headgasket, studs, exhaust and has been tuned with a UniChip. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=659977

Sorry for the poor grammar, I was referring to this from my previous link.

Once you finally get someone to tell you what you want to know, you'll still need to do the research to make it work for YOU.
I was running a TCD stg 2 with a PIGGYBACK and it didn't work out. It wasted 2 months of my summer going back and forth with the engineers on why my coil ignitor kept burning out. I am currently in my 2nd month or so of learning megasquirt and just got the car started about 2 days ago.

It says very plainly in the MS manual that if the car does not start after 15 mins step back and look at your setup because you're doing something wrong.

When I did my very very very first MS kit, it took about 10 mins to get the car to start.

TCD is now using MS kits

Quick side question: How long did it take you to build your MS system Jon?
