I have a 1989 525i with 197k miles on it. The car runs fine but here is my problem. When I start the car in the morning, the car will idle fine after a loping idle (20 seconds of up and down) and runs fine. However, after starting and driving the car and it has gotten warm, when I attempt to start it, it won't idle on its own unless I give it gas to keep the idle around 1500 (5 seconds) then it will hold an idle. It does this without fail but only after the car is warm. Anyone have any ideas?
