Hi All,

I need to change both front and rear sway bar links. Ordered links and nuts from Autohaus. Some questions I couldnt find answer

1. Do I have to change the M8 bolts that go with the rear sway bar links?
2. What are important tools that will make things easier? I am planing to buy a set of offset wrenches at Harborfrieght on Tiger's advice in a different post. Anything else?
3. What is easier way to push new rear sway bar link on to the sway bar?
4. Any other tips and tricks?

Thanks
Arun

1. No
2.Two floor jacks. Remember, everything is metric...
3.The second floor jack. Same deal for the front too.
4.You read them on my 'other' post.

Hi Tiger,

Thanks for the info. I will get one bottle jack too. one more question:

How much torque should I apply when installing the front and rear links?

Thanks
Arun

Oh... not much... just as tight as you can is enough... no extreme force here. Bottle jack is not safe at all... suspension does not move up in a linear direction... which is why they should never be used on car... and that's why floor jacks have wheels... because they actually move while you are jacking up the car.

If you don't want to spend big buck on second jack, get that skinny 2 ton cheapo floor jack.
