haha, harsh. Hope he gets what he's looking for. 9k sounds a little high.

So, what's an "optional sports package" on an '89 535i? I don't remember that option.

isn't the sport package what you get on a 535i Sport but without the bodykit and interior extras which essentially leaves the LSD and the Mtech suspension? I never knew 89 cars had an airbag though.

It does look very good, I would love a mint e34 like that - you're right about the colour though!

It's a U.S. car. All U.S. E34 535i's had airbags. They phased them in on the 525i though. No "sport" model, either, and no option for M-tech suspension or seats. The U.S. had no "sports package" option for the E34 535i and I don't see anything on this car to indicate otherwise.

Looks to be very nice. Bronzit Beige will limit his market some, personally I like it.
With 9k to spend would this be anyone's choice?

Looks nice:)
I paid $9k for mine back in 2003 w/ 46k on it and dropped another $1300 with the Sachs kit, Lemforders and M-tech Sways

Personally? With $9000 to spend, I'd find an E39 528i Sport package 5-spd with around 100k on it, and ten-years newer than the E34 in question. Of course I'd have to have the optional sport seats, too, but they come up. The 17" style-5s and my choice of color would certainly interest me more than a low-mile Bronzit E34. Especially when you consider the Bronzit will need a repaint soon, if it doesn't already. Just stating the facts, and only because I don't believe the car is being sold by anyone on this list. (BTW, the red 535i in the reply above is a beauty!)

Here's one that went for $7700 recently (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-BMW-528I-SPORTS-PACKAGE-FAST_W0QQitemZ150145900334QQihZ005QQcategoryZ6008Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem), as just one example, there are many others (including plenty of 540i 6-speeds, too):

Nice red. It's not original paint, right? I think the red in e34 is slightly lighter.
