E34 525ix in Sydney. How many of these exist?

I see an E34 with a 525ix badge in Sydney most mornings. I thought there were only a few of these made? If so, where there any RHD or has this car got the wrong badge. Becuase its peak traffic, I can't follow him to find out. If it really is an X, wouldn't the front be higher than standard?

I see it most mornings at the darling harbour overpass.
Is the front ride height the same even with 4wd?
I'd rather an E34 x than an X5. I don't need the ride height, but the 4wd would be handy on the short-cut from south coast to Canberra rather than using kangaroo valley. Although, with the new EAT chip, the climb up the valley is somewhat quicker these days.
