Im wiring in a cell phone charger (permant mount) for my blackberry...so i wired it into the glove box wiring but stupidly into the light, so it only gives power with the key and the glove open, so i just removed the switch that knows if the glove is open, and then it works with the key

one problem, gove box light is always on if the key is on

so i want to wire it in before it hits the switch.

now look at the switch, it has 2 plugs, and 3 wires going into it

that means 1 is always hot with the key, 1 is hot with the key and the switch open and 1 is ground

so because there is 3 wires and 2 plugs i cant just test with the plugs, and i dont want to rip up the wiring to find out...so can someone who can read the bently wiring tell me or something...

sorry but i feel kinda dumb right about now.. :/

my thought exactly... on mine the flash light plug is an always on 12+ source.

As cheap as the adapters are, why not just buy one and cut the power socket off? then you can still disconnect it if needed...

so tap it on the OTHER side of the plug, inside the dash.... just take the panel down and the wires are very accessible.
