anyone replace there cat with a pipe?

on my 90 525 my cat has several holes, was wondering if it would be better with straight pipes, there is no emisiion where i live, thanks

thats what i did in mine...took out the cat and replaced it with 2 pipes only problem is everytime I start the car it says "catalyst" in the check control...I posted a thread about eliminating "catalyst" in check control but was to damn lazy to do it and just lived with:D it goes out after you start the car

Running no cat or hi flow cats and a high flow muffler does make the car notably raspier.
