Trying to figure out what exactly this part is on the passenger side of the oil pan...

Was looking via RealOEM, and didn't see anything that immediately stuck out.

It's part of the air pump...M5's have an air pump that runs for about a minute under cold starts. The pump aids with clearing the exhaust system during inital starup. Something to do with cold start emissions, the M5 runs rather rich on start up. You would hear it if it was working, it's no big deal if it doesn't though, as long as you start driving immediately like you're supposed to...=)
