folks, 2 separate questions:
1. when removing battery, which should i disconnect first: +ve or -ve cable? how about when attaching the battery?

2. when jump starting a car, which cable should be connected first?

comes off first and negative always goes on last

some people also recomend that the headlights etc are on I think to act as a "sink" for voltage spikes when you connect and disconnect??

If you remove your battery for charging be careful about locking your doors manually. You may not be able to open the again!

this is a question i wondered my self and had contradicting views on the internet. mine always sparks as i reconnect the negative with the hazard lights starting to flash....wierd.
